The recent, sudden and unexpected loss of one of House Music's long time legends Phil Asher has been felt and expressed in all corners and parts of the world.
Having been a solid and firm member of the Groove Odyssey family for, effectively, decades, Phil will be missed yet always remembered.
Bobby & Steve and Michael Hughes are expressing their feelings on behalf of us all with the following heartfelt words...
"Phil Asher,
Heartbroken beyond words and in total shock. Phil Asher was the perfect gentleman, with nothing but pure love in his heart. Steve and I first met Phil in the late ’80s, and we remained tight ever since. Phil was an amazing artist with great musical knowledge, but it wasn’t his talent that first brought us closer to Phil, it was his natural energetic vibrations that poured from his soul that connected us - he had such a beautiful aura... so beautiful.
We’re so grateful to the Lord for having the opportunity to be a part of Phil’s life, and we will more than cherish all those incredible years we spent together, enjoying classy DJ sets, smiling and laughing and loving.
Phil will always be a solid member of the Laviniere and our Groove Odyssey family, he always performed like a king and gave his heart & soul.
Our sincere condolences to Lisa, Marvin and his family.
Rest in peace brother Phil, love and miss you so much.
