As a true New Yorker of Colombian roots, his love for drums and
sophisticated melodies led him to embrace the path from Deejaying to
business then eventually to production.

Doug desire to express his love through production for what he
affectionately calls "That New York sound", a mix of organic, soulful
music, combined with afro latin rhythms, is evident on all his
productions. It led to an onslaught of releases and remixes on such
notable labels including Universal Music, Orianna/Sony Music, MoBlack,
Nervous Records, Quantize recordings, King Street Sounds, Z Records,
and many more.

Doug has remixed such great artists as Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer,
Blaze, and many more. 2017 saw the start of his own label Merecumbe
Recordings, as an outlet not just for his own music, but from current
hot and upcoming producers.

In 2023, Doug reached the #20 Top artist by Traxsource.com, and #12 in 2022.

DJ LOKA aka Terri Walsh, also the wife of Doug Gomez is a true DJ and
music connoisseur. Having DJ'ed at numerous famed clubs in NYC, they
both bring a musical eclecticism that electrifies any dance floor. DJ
LOKA's sets are a fusion of diverse genres, seamlessly blending
soulful house, afrobeat rhythms, and Latin grooves into a sonic
journey that captivates audiences. Their deep understanding of music
history and culture allows them to curate sets that not only entertain
but also educate, exposing listeners to new sounds and artists.
