London-based DJ and producer Matt Gillespie has carved out a distinct presence in the UK garage, house and deep music scenes with a sound that bridges classic 90s influences and contemporary dancefloor sensibilities. Rooted in the rich heritage of UK garage and US house, Gillespie’s productions are defined by rolling grooves, soulful chords and peak-time energy that resonate with DJs and dancers alike.

Emerging as a recording artist in the late 2000s, Matt has built a diverse discography of originals and remixes across respected independent imprints. His releases span influential labels such as Large Music, Groove Culture, i! Records, No Fuss Records and his own Deep Rhythm label — a platform he uses to showcase quality house, deep and garage-inflected music.  

Matt’s affinity for UK garage has translated into repeated chart success on Traxsource, where he’s achieved multiple No. 1 placements in the garage genre. Tracks such as “Deeper Something” on No Fuss Records “Rhythm Flow” on Pogo House Records and “Mash Da Break” on Bubble ’N’ Twist Records hit the top of the site’s genre charts, marking him out as a consistent favourite with DJs and buyers.  

Other standout projects include his Need You Now / G House release on No Fuss Records and the London Nights EP on Large Music, which further exemplify his ability to move between deep, soulful house and UK garage with ease.
