Pete’s love of House music started in the late 80’s / early 90’s as a teenager obsessed with all music of black origin. From this point Pete became an avid collector of the latest 12” vinyl imports from the U.S. Whilst building his collection of the latest stateside House sounds Pete began his DJ’ing journey, mainly as a “bedroom DJ” but also DJ’ing at various at house parties and through the creation of mixtapes shared amongst friends.

Further inspiration came from visiting London clubs such as Bobby & Steve’s Garage City, Norman Jay’s High on Hope and the early days of Ministry of Sound with resident, DJ Harvey. Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson’s legendary Saturday night radio show also formed a large part of Pete’s musical education.

Pete’s DJ career stalled in the early 00’s whilst he concentrated on raising a family, but he was still a big collector of music staying in touch with the Soulful House scene as a listener of radio stations such as House FM.

Over 10 years ago Pete re-ignited his DJ career moving into the digital world with the purchase of a Pioneer DJ controller. From there Pete hasn’t looked back perfecting his mixing skills and musical style, which is heavily influenced by the Soulful and Deep House sounds so popular on today’s dancefloors.

Pete has been building a strong reputation with residencies in local clubs and bars in his hometown of Ipswich, and through his numerous mixes on Mixcloud. Pete has also DJ’d at various successful club nights in London and festivals as far a field as Portugal.

Pete has now moved into club promotion with the launch of his new night in Ipswich called SWITCH, which will be bringing the best UK & European DJ’s playing Soulful and Deep House music.
