MARK OSBOURNE

As a kid my earliest musical inspirations came from Electro Funk and Breakdance and early Hip Hop… the Street Sounds of the 80’s!  

From the late 80’s and early 90’s I instantly felt a connection to the club culture that was taking the London underground scene by storm.  There was a dance music explosion and I wanted to be a part of it on the dance floor and in the DJ booth!

The House sound was born and I was hooked.  As an early DJ learning my trade I experimented with many genres, but I fell in love with the Deep and Soulful House music that was coming from NYC & Chicago.

From the mid 90’s I would visit the US and attend parties such as Body & Soul, Shelter, Deep Space, 718 Sessions and The Loft party in NYC to take inspiration from DJ’s such as Francois K, Danny Krivit, Joe Clausell, Ron Trent, Masters at Work, Timmy Regisford, David Mancuso and so many more.

My love for Deep and Soulful House has always been at the core of my sets and I also enjoy the Disco sounds familiar with the Paradise Garage, and House music in all its forms, especially the Classics.

I have been part of London’s underground scene for over 3 decades, supporting the small underground parties and radio stations just as much as Londons biggest and best clubs, and have supported headliners such as Norman Jay MBE.

I am immensely proud of holding my monthly residency as DJ/Promoter for the Unique Rhythm Soulful House parties at London’s favourite disco pub The Horse and Groom for the past 6 years, and counting! I can also be found playing at other underground parties in and around the city.

House music is for life, and House FM is where it’s at.  Let’s do this!
